Thomas Davis GAA club seeks to appoint a club coach. The role will involve: Being a liaison officer for Thomas Davis within the local schools. Working with Primary, Post Primary and under age teams in both the local schools and Thomas Davis. Developing the Thomas Davis academy for 4 to 7 year olds. Plan, Co-ordinate Club Summer Camps and Easter Camps. Coaching and Skill Development initiatives appropriate to age and ability of various playing groups. A key target for the successful candidate will be to increase participation levels through recruitment and improve playing standards across all codes and teams. Support a sustainable development system by managing the identification, recruitment and training of key personnel within Clubs and Schools to develop Gaelic Games in Tallaght. 

Requirements: Coaching qualifications with experience of coaching Gaelic games to boys and girls across the 4 codes. Qualifications should include: GAA Chid Protection in Sport Awareness Workshop - Foundation Award Hurling/Football - Award 1 Child and/or Youth Adult Hurling/Football - Award 2 Child Hurling/Football Some experience of GAA Tutor qualifications – Foundation Diploma (Training & Education may also be an advantage Strong interest in Gaelic Games, experience of the workings of GAA club. Ability to Develop and deliver coach education programmes. Good Communication skills and good interpersonal skills. Ability to speak Irish would also be an advantage. Be competent in written communication and also in a range of admin tasks. Regular reports to Steering Committee will be required. Initiative and ability to work on own. 

Own Transport is essential. Garda Vetting is required. The position will be for 37 hours per week and the salary will be discussed at interview. CVs along with a cover letter should be sent to by Tuesday 30 June. Shortlisting may apply.
