The senior hurlers registered back to back wins in the Senior 2 championship last Saturday afternoon at home as they overcame Div 1 side Raheny 0-26 to 3-12.
Thomas Davis led from start to finish as they amassed 24 points from play during the hour with an impressive team by performance. Wing forward Bryan Keogh (0-5) and Kevin Ward (0-6 2f) both got on the scoreboard early on to give the home side a 5 point lead at ht 0-14 to 1-6.
Midfield pairing Eanna O’Toole and Anto Barrett (0-4) dominated that sector throughout the second half with corner forward Davy Byrne (0-4) chipping in with some key scores. Bryan Keogh continued his good form in the second half with 2 fine long range points along with 3 points from wing backs Fionn Lynch (0-1) and Daire Kerr (0-2).
The Thomas Davis defence survived a late rally by Raheny with Jamie McDonnell, Jamie Palmer and Sean Byrne all contributing well throughout.
Elsewhere Thomas Davis junior 1 hurlers made it 2/2 in the Junior B championship with a good away victories over Ballinteer St John’s 3-12 to 1-11. Minors Tadgh Farrelly , Dennis Ogbonna and Alex Dunne(0-2) all performing well on the day with veteran full forward Anto Deasy hitting 2 impressive goals over the 60 mins.
In the Junior F championship the Junior 2 hurlers had a good win against Civil Service in another high scoring affair on Kiltipper rd, winning out 5-16 to 5-8. Strong performances on the day by defenders Chris Clarke and David Nugent as midfield pairing Conor Prenderghast and Oisin Horan contributed well throughout.
